88mm Gun and Tractor

(8.8cm Flak 36 with Sd.KfZ.7 8 ton Half Track)

The 88mm gun and tractor is a superb kit. The instructions are straightforward and it goes together beautifully. Our only criticism is that the crew look as if they are on parade and hating it! They go straight into the spares box.

This picture shows the kit built straight by a relative beginner, with just a little stowage and a Preiser crewman added.

Of course, the kit may be upgraded, and the Matador set does this. It also addresses the only important omission, the cable reels on the gun's wheel assemblies, as well as upgrading parts such as the gunshield..

Various combinations can be built, to produce a tractor and gun for most periods of the war.
